A hangover at Christmas well...heck you say
I feel like I ate much more today
Than Italy has pizzas and Boston her beans
Than low country feasts of shrimp boiled and steamed
Than turkeys as big as Emus who run
Their wings much like stumps when chased by a gun
I ate so much my head has gained weight'
I ate and I ate and I ate and I ate
Food hangover hurts I'm stuffed up to here
My heads in a dizzy and I've tight underwear
If I were a jock with a slender svelt bod
And I ate this much I'd be praying to God
Just let me run and run and run
Melt this fat off...give me the sun
I'll burn this weight off...I promise...I say
Too much at once and I too will pay
The sins of indulgence as smiles stretch out oe'r
This plate dripping gravy and turkey galore
Don't forget ham and the soul of the south
Sweet tater pie...please shut my mouth
Masking tape for the lips to seal this big gape
If you're a man its okay...use electrician's tape
Anything please to stop all the drool
Taste buds seek everything that doesn't move
Say...but what of Jell-O its comes red and green
The color of Christmas with jiggles that scream
Eat this...hey...its moving and isn't nailed down
Its lighter by gosh and the weight is kept down
Its clear like gla** and euphoric in colors
Its not brown or gray and duller and duller
Jell-O dances...it swings...it sways with the bells
If you eat a big bowl your tummy won't swell
Its cool to the buds and stays when thumped over
Its great cause its light for this food hangover.
I'll save it for later and later and later
Perhaps slopped over dressin'n or roasted pataters
This food is so much just leftovers now
Thank heavens for Christmas I bow and I bow.
