Zack Redman - 7. GLOVEBOX lyrics

"Alright, where ya going?" I dunno, could you take me to the nearest gas station I need to use a phone "No problem, sit back n' relax for a minute. If you want I could probably take you right to your home?" That's okay, but thanks. Honestly, I don't know where I am, so, a gas-stop will be fine "Alright, if you say so, are you tryina' lay low?" What you say? "I'm just playing, never-mind. You from around here?" No I was out late on a hike in the woods and I must'a got lost "Well in that case I got a map that you could have for when I drop you off, stuffed up in the glove box" Thanks man, and as I opened glove compartment I was startled at what I saw. There were handfuls of teeth everywhere in there so I pretended not to see them and carried on with the conversation: What do you do for a living? "I work on refrigerator systems, how about you?" Well I used to cut meat but I'm currently unemployed at the minute *muffled scream* What was that? "Oh nothing, sometimes the fan-belt squeals or something, I gotta get it looked at" That's when I looked back to see a hand sticking out from under the bed cover of the truck That's when I start panicking I'm realising this man is sick, I need to get out of this truck and as quick as possible before I end up dead in a ditch So I start thinking 'bout if I jumped out now n' at this speed how bad I would it would hurt I'd prolly break a leg or an arm or something but if I jumped far enough I could probably hit dirt "What'sa matter son, you look worried?" Then I did my best to not look concerned Oh I recognise where I am now and I think it would be best if I could return to the spot you first picked me up from Then suddenly all the doors locked, he leaned over across the seat and said: "I got a little boy laying dead in the box, you don't wanna end up like him, do you?" At this point I couldn't even hear my thoughts, my heart was pounding so loud in my chest that I thought I was gonna pa** out Please just stop Please sir, just let me out here I'm sure he could see my fear Then he lunged across the seat directly at me and that's when I grabbed for the wheel..
