9/23/13 ABSENT 9/24/13 when Brittany is ready for school on the first day of her senior year, she must empress her mother's critical inspection. Brittany then goes to say goodbye to her sister, Shelley, who is in a wheelchair, causing her to get a spot on her shirt. Brittany covers it with a scarf before running out the door. Alex is awoken by his brother on the first day of school only to find himself refereeing a fight between his two younger brothers. Alex quickly dresses and has a quick breakfast with his mother and brothers before rushing off to school with Carmen, his ex-girlfriend and fellow gang member. 9/25/13 Alex acts as a collector for the Latino Bloods, taking a boy's car because he cannot pay a debt. Alex does not like this, but prefers it to dealing d**. A week later, Alex is having lunch with some of his friends at school when the talk turns to Brittany Ellis. Brittany is one of the most beautiful and most popular girls at the school. One of the boys claims that Alex could never get Brittany into bed. This leads to a bet between Alex and the boy, Lucky. If Alex can get the girl in bed, he wins Lucky's car, but if he does not, he loses his motorcycle. 9/26/13 In Chapter 9, Alex and Brittany are given their senior Chemistry project, hand warmers. Alex is not impressed. because he wanted to do something else but now the idea he made a bet with his friend to get with Brittany even if she was upper cla** and his not like her Brittany does not like that Alex is in a gang. 9/27/13 Alex is a bad boy and he knows it. So when he makes a bet with his friends to lure Brittany into his life, he thinks nothing of it. But soon Alex realizes Brittany is a real person with real problems, and suddenly the bet he made in arrogance turns into something much more. In a pa**ionate story about breaks through the stereotypes and barriers that threaten to keep Brittany and Alex apart.
