The Neighbourhood - The Califournia lyrics

A crowd cheers for the band. Jesse: Hello! Hey, uh, we're a - we're a cool band called The Neighbourhood. The following text appears in front of an upside-down shot of cars driving along a highway: The Neighbourhood in The Califournia Jesse: I was in the very, like, front row. In San Francisco and she, like, she clearly knew, like, the words to I guess a few of the songs. Mikey looked at me at one point during, I think, Baby Came Home and he was like "Yo dude, look at that girl in the front row she's - she's - she knows the words!" and I was like "Oh, okay, cool" and like I couldn't pay attention that much... And then I finally paid attention and then I saw her and I was like "Oh, sh**!" and she was singing along and then... Sweater Weather came along and she was singing to that one so, like, I popped down for a second or something like that and I put the microphone in her face and she like sang along a couple of words and like freaked out for a second. It was really cool, that was, like, it's a really cool feeling... An instrumental version of Baby Came Home plays in the background of some scenes of the band members fooling around with one another. After it finishes, there are a few scenes of the band eating and preparing to be center-stage. Jesse: I wanna go somewhere for a reason. Mikey: I love everyone in this band. Jesse: That's why touring, to me, is a dream come true. Mikey: I think it's little things like that. Being an artist and being out there creatively. Jeremy: Everybody that's doing what I've done right now has been in that same situation such as like a rich history to it. Bryan: It's more so that, you know, five musicians playing music or even four musicians in a front-band. It's kind of like, like you're seeing people genuinely enjoy what they do. You're seeing people play music that they wrote and music that they love playing and be happy about it. It's not really the music, it's being able to share it with, you know, for your closest friends.
