SCORE Luke Skywalker and BrianD are two teenage boys who are both epic monomyth heros. They both have some similarities and differences throughout their journey. One of them is just better at the role of being a hero. They both led normal teenager lives, they both were hoping for change. Something important that appears in star wars is the epic monomyth hero, which is Luke Skywalker, and in VGHS it's BrainD,they both provide a good role model for the people of today. Luke Skywalker is a perfect example of an epic monomyth hero. Luke lived on a farm with his two guardians, his uncle and aunt. Luke had always been bored and tired of his life, he had always wanted to leave and explore. He was just bored of his everyday teenage life, he wanted a change. The beginning of his journey is a perfect example of status quo.Status Quo means the current state of things, how his life is just normal, and his everyday routine. BrianD from VGHS is also another example of an epic monomyth hero. BrianD also leads a very normal life, doing chores, going to school, etc. Brian is also bored with his everyday life only playing video games as an entertainment. In Brian's journey he doesn't let his enemy get to him, he doesn't let him take over his life. Brian doesn't give up when he was defeated by the law, he came back more confident and eventually defeated the law. At the end of this story brains becomes a new and improved person, he doesn't think so low of himself ad gains confidence. He also then makes it on the team. Brian and Luke are both similar and different in some way. They're both good examples of epic monomyth heroes. They both had missions to complete, but I think Luke makes the best role for today. Brian's journey surrounds itself around video games, when Luke's journey surrounds itself around the idea that he has to save someone, and defeat the bad guys. Luke skywalker is just a better h**n my opinion, and is better at representing what a hero should be and do. In conclusion, both heroes are great but my opinion is that Luke is a better epic monomyth hero. They both want to make changes to their normal boring life, and I think Luke makes the most changes. Brian's journey isn't based off of something important, it's about video games, and Luke has to save someone. Brian is still a good hero for not giving up when he was defeated by The Law, it shows that he's courageous. Luke just had more difficult trials to go through; they were more serious, than just beating someone at a video game. Luke Skywalker's actions just show that he's a better role as an epic monomyth hero.
