PsyQonaut - Mr. Wonderful Album Review lyrics

Track 1 Brand New Car Starts the album off with hot fire. I love the instrumental here and it the whole feel of this song feels like a throwback to his Dr. Lecter days. Some nice quotables on here and I like the bluesy hook that comes in on this. Grew a lot on me and I think it stands up well to any of his other songs. Like the abrupt ending to 8/10 Track 2 The Rising Damn this beat and this song in general is a huge highlight to this album. Bronson really snapped hard on here. The hook is excellent and Bronson really does body the complete f** out of this instrumental. This keeps the album intensity high and I for once I actually feel like the Big Body Bes contribution actually adds to this song rather than take away from it 8.5/10 Track 3 Terry One of my favorite pre-release songs that has only grown on me more and more since it release. First things first, this has what is probably the best beat to come out this year. Just a luscious feel to it and it gives braingasms to stoners for sure. I f** with the outro that leads into Actin Crazy. Once again Bronson comes correct with the hook and I enjoy the whole feel to this. The whole joint has a slightly depressing tone to it 9/10 Track 4 Actin' Crazy Still a great song and sounds great in the sequence of the album. Kinda skeptical of this at first cause it being Drake's producer, but this beat fits great into the album and Bronson sounds great on it. A really dope a** song that is just honestly cool as f**. Another highlight to the stacked first half of this album 8/10 Track 5 Falconry I am still purplexed by this song so much. I kind of love it and hate it depending on the day tbh. Bronson kicks it back once again to his Lecter days and really spits some hard and funny bars. Lauren came correct too, but the whole song just is kind of there and doesn't do much for me. The beat itself is a love/hate thing to with it sounding both dope and annoying at the same time. Kind of one of those tracks that sounds good but you can only hear it every once in a while 5/10 Track 6 Thug Love Story 2017 The Musical I'm fine with interludes and stuff but after several listens I just skip this as it gets pretty annoying after multiple listens. I guess this is necessary for the next couple tracks, but I don't know this just doesn't do anything for me at all other than make me want to fast forward it 5/10 Track 7 City Boy Blues I don't mind blues or soul music at all, but I don't really want it on a Bronson album to be completely honest. I really listen to Bronson to hear some really crazy sh** and get crazy imagery from his stuff. With that being said Bronson did really do great with this track though. It is kind of all over the place and kinetic and comes across a total win though. The production is great, but the song just kind of feels weird as a Bronson song 7/10 Track 8 The Light in the Addict One of the most underrated pre-release songs to come out, this is truly beautiful. The Black Atla** dude has the perfect soulful voice for this and unlike the previous track, I liked the soul here because there was still a Bronson verse contained in this song. The verse itself is really amazing with some surprisingly introspective bars which rides the production great. The instrumental itself is definitely one of the best on the whole album for sure 8/10 Track 9 Baby Blue Absolute standout track here and I love Bronson's crooning on the hook. I actually like the instrumental here with the repetitive piano and the almost cartoonish feeling to the outro with all the horns. I really like Chance's verse on here and it definitely fits into the song well. A really nice “love” song by Bronson here that stands up to some of this best songs. Lowkey one of the best songs on the album 9/10 Track 10 Only In America Damn this track surprised the hell out of me when I heard it and it still does. First off the alliteration in the first verse was really great, even for Bronson. Party Supplies murders the hook and Oh No provided a really dope beat here. Kind of how rap-rock should sound and it has kind of like a 70's vibe to it. Honestly so f**in awesome and I get hyped as hell when this comes on. Brings the album intensity back up to a 10 and piano outro still gets me hot 9/10 Track 11 Galactic Love A definite slow jam of sorts right here that is really nice and rewarding over multiple listens. On first listen I kind of thought this was weaker and boring, but after mulitple listens this sounds like a really amazing cut off of one his Blue Chips tapes. Really does great at setting the mood of this whole album 8/10 Track 12 The Pa**age Well definitely surprised me here when we got a weird kind of a live performance/instrumental/interlude of sorts that does honestly lead into Easy Rider perfectly. Once again this just blends into the tape really well and does a great job at setting the atmosphere of the entire project. Not a lot of replay value per say, but it definitely fits in here really well 8/10 Track 13 Easy Rider Definitely one of Bronson's best songs he has made and brings the album to a great closing. The instrumental that Party Supplies cooks up is definitely top notch with great horns and the guitar solo mixed with motorcycle reverb is just a great way to end the whole thing. Bronson himself is at peak form here just spitting lots of quotables here and just sounding absolutely charming while doing it. The perfect outro to the album 10/10 FINAL VERDICT I am both super impressed and disappointed in this album. On first listen I really hated all the singing and sh** that was going on, but after multiple listens I think I can easily say that all the singing and crooning really adds to the whole experience providing a really nice atmosphere to the whole tape. I think this definitely feels like his most complete piece of work and it is very cohesive With that being said nearly every song is great, but tracks 5 and 6 completely k** the momentum for me. Falconry just kind of s** a** and I felt like there could have been a better song put in its place, and the interlude after this with the dude singing kind of feels dry. Truly I really f** with this album but I feel that if Bronson would have replaced one or two songs and spit a lot more bars that this could have easily have been an outstanding project 8/10
