PsyQonaut - Jenny d**h Album Review lyrics

Track 1 Break Mirrors With My Face in the United States Gets the album jumping off with straight intensity. MC Ride isn't nearly as abrasive with his voice as he has been in the past which I like and I can sort of understand what he is saying here. Great instrumental on here 8/10 Track 2 Inanimate Sensation HOLY fu*k!!!! This song just goes and goes and goes. The instrumental was just constantly switching up to more and more levels of intense electronics and industrial warping beats. MC Ride was honestly great on here, even going chopped and screwed at one point. Literally an organic song that keeps on changing but doesn't lose pace at all 9.5/10 Track 3 Turned Off First off the intro is the most un-d**h Grips thing I have heard before with a calm by their standards start and then just straight b**h slaps you in the face with instant insanity and crazy chants and sh**. The guitar riffs makes this feel some crazy a** heavy metal. Soundtrack to burning bibles at a cult bonfire right here 8/10 Track 4 Why A b**h Gotta Lie Damn one hell of a weird track here with f**in robocop vocals going at one point followed by some straight up hardcore metal riffs and pounding sound of some sort going on in the background. This is a straight up brain overload for this stoner, but in a good way. Damn the outro was really cool too. Got me bouncing up and down to this sh** 8/10 Track 5 Pss Pss Ride is right on the edge of the abrasiveness that I don't like but the creepy a** hook and the blipping that accompanies it is really cool and the drunk sounding droning instrumental is just perfect. Such a goddamn filthy song feels like you jacked off to nun p**n or some sh**. Sounds like something that would be played during a compilation scene of people shooting h**n in a movie 7/10 Track 6 The Powers That B God damn another crazy a** instrumental on here that is like glitch hop straight from hell. Ride is once again actually enjoyable on here and he keeps it actually nice here and feels essential to this song. Another joint on here that still has me headbanging hard to it 8/10 Track 7 Beyond Alive The guitar work on here was truly top notch and just kept on making me play this track over and over again. Again Ride is basically unintelligible to these ears, but damn if he don't got me hype as sh**. This is more toned down than most of their stuff, but for some reason this hits me a lot harder. Real stand out here 9/10 Track 8 Centuries of Damn Damn Ride actually uses a very laid back voice (for him at least) which I can say appreciate ten times more than his other one and I wish he would have used this one sooner. Another track that feels more laid back and feels actually more rockish than straight metal. A really nice almost ambient type vibe running through it also. Honestly getting a slight 70s vibe from this. A really creative and cool track 8.5/10 Track 9 On GP First things first the guitar work on here sounds like some straight up nice punk and the drums are just hardcore and slamming on here. The beat switch up is nice and goes to a straight up super laid back instrumental with beautiful droning in the background and Ride getting introspective. Actually felt sad while listening to this sh**. Beat switches up a little bit again making the guitar much more hardocore and pulsating then calming down and then shooting right back to intense to just take you on a complete emotional rollercoaster 9/10 Track 10 d**h Grips 2.0 The darkness takes hold at this point and is accompanied by radio transmission type static, glitching electronics, and some crazy a** drums that just did a few too many rails of coke. Got me thumping off the walls and just going crazy to this. No joke this is one of the most high octane songs I have heard in a long a** time. This is like the hardcore emo version of Run The Jewels. Seriously one of the best instrumental type tracks I have ever heard and a perfect way to end the album 10/10 Alright so if you are anything like me you a probably skeptical about the whole d**h Grips movement and the whole sound they represent. As I said earlier above I really don't f** with a lot of their stuff. My favorite thing before this was Government Plates and that was like a 7 for me. I respect their creativity and how they change up their sound, but Ride has always been to abrasive for me Well this release has changed everything for me. I absolutely love this album and have listened to this motherf**er a good dozen times since the leak and it hasn't gotten old at all, rather yet I just like it more and more. Some of the hardest music I have ever heard hear, but it is more melodic then their old stuff. They almost went with like a punk/metal influence here that makes the thing a whole lot more palatable for my ears. A lot of you will proly think the score I'm about to give this is crazy, but I really f**ed with this 8.5/10
