The Epic Monomyth is the stages of a hero's journey. Many stories follow this process like movies for example the lion king has all the following stages. Its start off with a hero in his normal home doing his normal thing, then he gets called to adventure by something or someone. After that he gets the a**istance by an older and wiser person. Then we skip to crisis that when the main character get all most k**ed or defeated. Then we go to the return that when the hero goes back to his normal life. Luke sky walker shows all these steps in his story star wars it about a boy that lives on a farm, and doesn't like to be on the boring planet. He rather go do something outer space. Then his uncle buys the two androids from the sand people, and when Luke starts to repair one of the androids some kind of video starts playing. With a beautiful lady starts playing saying that she need from obi won Kenobi. Then Luke starts to think about the person that lives far away from him. Then the next day he goes off to go find ben, then he finds him and shows him the video of the girl. Then later on in the story he tells Luke to go with him, but at first he did not want to go because of his uncle and aunt. Then the troopers come and k** them both, and then he has no choice of going. Then they go on the quest with their new friends Han, Chewbacca, Leia, and the androids to go and blow up the secret base of the enemy. Then when they blow the space ship they all go back home, and Han and Luke get rewarded for what they have done. After that scene he has join a new family because his old family has been k**ed. My choice of the Epic Hero Monomyth is lion king. It shows the entire step that a Monomyth story needs. This story starts off with him being born. Then his dad show Simba around the whole kingdom. Then one day his father died, but Simba thought it was his flat. Then he ran away from his home, and Simba gets lost and these two animals saw him. Their names were timon and Pumbaa, and they took him into their life style. Then he starts growing up and eventually the friend that Simba had when he was little came to hunt for food. Then Simba friend's stops hunting his buddy Pumbaa and she finds out that he was a live the whole time. Then they both started to fall in love with each other, but Simba friend and now lover wants him to return back home with her. Then in the other scene he gets this message from his father to go back to the kingdom and take what is his. Then he returns back to fight his uncle for the kingdom and his reward is that he got his kingdom back. Then he goes back to his normal life of being king, and having a daughter with his lover. These two movies or stories I just explain why their Epic Hero Monomyth. They both have similar stages that happen in these two stories, also could be different. They both share how the main character gets called to adventure they both leave their home, but for two different reason. For the lion king he lives because he father dies, and he think that he is the cause his father d**h. For Luke sky walker is when he wants to get off the planet that he is on. Then both the trails that when they face obstacles. For Simba he had to face the hyenas, and go through many thorns. For Luke he had to go through the troopers, and the trash compactor. Then we go to the crisis that when hero is all most defeated or k**ed. So the crisis for Simba is when he almost dies in the middle of nowhere. For Luke is when he sees his master get k**ed by dark Vader. Then comes up the treasure that when the character gets a reward. For Simba got rewarded when he beat his uncle and got his thrown back. For Luke is when he gets a medal for destroyed the enemy's base. Then we go on to the new life that's when your life changes into a new one. Simba new life is that he is the king and has wife and daughter. Luke new life is being a star pilot and joining the rebalances. Then both of the stories start the stages all over again. Many stories make all the same Epic Hero Monomyth stages. Then they use all the same things to make a good story. You can look at document b to show you all the stages that you would need to make an Epic Hero Monomyth. Any good story that any person had made use these stages for their story.
