The following year, Firehouse released their second album, Hold Your Fire, which managed to go gold, even as the mainstream was embracing a noisier, punkier hard rock. The band waited three years before releasing Firehouse 3, which showcased a softer, more MOR-oriented band; it was a moderate success.
