He was born in the Rome suburb of Cinecitta during the mid-'60s, and moved to Milan to make a career of music as a teenager. Beginning with 1991's In Ogni Senso, Ramazzotti recorded three albums for Arista during the first half of the '90s. With a new BMG deal which included his RadioRama production company, Eros moved from pop-oriented music to more straightahead rock, even recruiting a rock band for the 1995 Rock over Europe festival.
