Eddz - Top 10 Simpsons Episodes lyrics

So the Simpsons' in it's golden age, which is seasons 3-8 (maybe 9. And it's especially seasons 4-7) is my favorite television show of all time. No other show has ever thrown out as many jokes in such quick succession and been able to somehow make almost every one land, and land hard at that, while miraculously never losing the heart that kept bringing us back. And since a few weeks ago was the 25th anniversary of the show's first episode airing (making it older than Emma Watson, though a still a couple months short of Danielle Radcliffe. And who gives a f** about Ron?) I decided to come up with a list of my 10 favorite episodes (no Treehouse of Horrors). So: My Top 10 Simpsons Episodes #1- Last Exit to Springfield (S4E17) Great song (check) Best quote: Every line in this episode is goddamn cla**ic, but I've always especially liked this one. Runner Up: Kent Brockman: "Homer, organized labor has been called a ‘big lumbering dinosaur'.” Homer: “AHH!” Kent: “…Okay, my producers are telling me not to talk to you anymore.” Homer: “WOO-HOO!” #2- Marge Vs. the Monorail (S4E12) Great song (check) Best quote: Homer: “I call the big one bitey." Runner-Up: Homer: "Do you want us to rename you Homer Junior? The kids could call you Ho-Ju!" Bart: "...I'm gonna have to get back to you on that." Second Runner-Up: Marge: "Homer, I have someone here to talk to you.” Homer: “Is it Batman?” Marge: “No it's a scientist.” Homer: “Batman's a scientist.” Marge: “IT'S NOT BATMAN!" Third Runner-Up: Homer: "WOO HO! LOOK AT THAT PAVEMENT FLY!” Fun Fact: Future talk show host Conan O'Brien wrote this episode all the way back in 1992. #3- The PTA Disbands (S6E21) Best quote: Homer: “I know. And this perpetual motion machine (Lisa) made is a joke. It just keeps going faster and faster."... "Lisa, get in here! In this house, we obey the laws of THERMODYNAMICS!" About 50 more runner ups: -Skinner: "We both know these children have no future! ...Prove me wrong kids! Prove me wrong!" -Bart: "OW! My bones are so brittle, but I always drink plenty of nutritious... Malk? –Marge: "There's something about flying kites at night that doesn't seem wholesome.” Bart: “Hello, mother dear." –Lunchlady Doris: "There's very little meat in these gym mats." –Little Girl: "I'd like to get down now." –Jasper: "Oh, you best believe that's a paddlin'" –Marge: "They've been doing that one since I was a kid" –Homer: "Young lady, I've had JUST about enough of your Va**er bashing!" –Mrs. Krabappel: "We'll show him, especially for that comment about the purple monkey dishwasher." –Mrs Krabappel: "Come On!” Woman in Crowd: “She makes some good points" –Man in Crowd: "Ooooh he's doing the finger thing. The finger thing means taxes." -Skinner: "Me? Go to my office? Well, it's highly irregular, but ok." And of course the guy jumping out of the window then coming back in in reverse, which I couldn't find a decent clip of, but is my favorite 5 seconds the show ever did. #4- Cape Feare (S5E2) Best quote: Lawyer: “But don't you have a tattoo that says ‘Die Bart, Die'?” Sideshow Bob: “No, that's German. It actually says, ‘The Bart, The'" Woman in crowd: "No one who speaks German could be evil.” #5- Itchy & Scratchy Land (S6E4) Best Quote: Loudspeaker: “Attention: We are officially out of Bort license plates. I repeat, we are out of Bort license plates.” #6- 22 Short Films About Springfield (S7E21) Best Quote: Chalmers: "GOOD LORD, WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THERE?" Skinner: "Aurora Borealis." Chalmers: “A-Aurora Borealis?! At this time of year?! At this time of day?! In this part of the country?! Localized entirely within your kitchen?!” Skinner: “Yes.” Chalmers: “…Can I see it?” Skinner: “Er, no.” #7- Homer's Enemy (S8E23) Best Quote: Grimey: “If this were any other country, you'd have starved to d**h long ago!” Bart: “He's got you there, dad.” #8- Homer the Great (S6E12) Great song Best quote: Homer: “So one of those egg council creeps got to you too, huh?” Lenny: "No, it-it's not like that" Man in egg costume runs away Homer: Yeah, you better run egg! Runner Up: Kid: "It's the no Homers club. We can have one." #9- Deep Space Homer (S5E15) Best quote: Kent Brockman: “Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over, ‘conquered' if you will, by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive Earthmen or merely enslave them. But, one thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.” #10- Stark Raving Dad (S3E1) Great song Best quote: Psychiatrist: “I'm sorry Mrs. Simpson, but your husband suffers from a persecution complex, extreme paranoia, and… bladder hostility." Marge: "Look, if you just talked to my husband for 5 minutes without mentioning our son Bart, you'd see how sane he is." Psychiatrist: "You mean there really is a Bart? GOOD LORD!” Other Cromulent Episodes: "Simpsons Roasting On an Open Fire” (S1E1), "Bart Gets An F” (S2E1), "Bart the Daredevil” (S2E8), "Itchy & Scratchy & Marge" (S2E9), "Lisa's Substitute” (S2E19), "Flaming Moe's" (S3E10), "Homer At the Bat" (S3E17), "A Streetcar Named Marge" (S4E2), "Lisa's First Word" (S4E10), "I Love Lisa" (S4E15), "Duffless" (S4E16), "Krusty Gets Kancelled" (S4E22), "Rosebud" (S5E4), "Last Temptation of Homer" (S5E9), "$pringfield (Or, How I Learned To Stop Worrying & Love Legalized Gambling)"(S5E10), "Lisa's Wedding" (S6E19), "Two Dozen & One Greyhounds" (S6E20), "Who Shot Mr. Burns?"
