Craig Nero - My Shoes lyrics

I don't fit in my shoes anymore, But for some reason I'm still being pushed out the door. How do I walk without my feet getting sore? I can't, so I shan't I'll resist, stay inside and live my life some more. Time pa**ed; alas my shoes are still in my drawer. Either way I walk all across the places, they did, before. My feet seem automatic, and it's pretty fantastic, because they stay cushioned and comfortable on his floor. I Spy outside the window, and sigh in a crescendo, I'll try to keep it out of my mind and play Nintendo, but the tempo seems to rise and I find myself at the end so, fast that that level that I got past pa**ed past in a Snap, and I happened to get the maximum score, playing more, would be a chore, I'm bored, so I look for something else to do in my drawers. My shoes are old and mouldy, the colours that covered them have faded to grey, and I hate to admit it but their condition is poor. I've been walking barefoot for so long, my soles should have gotten strong, but instead the carpet has hardened and my feet are as weak as when my shoes first fell into disuse. I refuse to confuse myself by musing about what's outside, it's so indescribably inescapable, intimidating and idle, but my eyes will move absentmindedly and look at the view through the gla** and peruse every once in a while. My mind wanders and wonders what wonders I'd find outside, which way I would wander, what I'd want to do and pursue, and where I would wind up, so frequently it defeated me, finally I decide to rise and stride through the door with closed eyes. I walk. My feet hurt. I can't go back, So I keep going. Time pa**ed; at last my feet are comfy again. I've got a lot of space to run, down all these paths that never end, So I run around with my new friends. I've got new shoes too: the first pair since my feet grew huge. I was used to walking in the shoes I used to walk in, so I bought a larger size of the model that I had before.
