Brian liles - Monomyth essay lyrics

Luke Skywalker truly fulfills the Epic Hero Monomyth. The Epic Hero Monomyth is still an important concept because it appears in star wars, Spiderman, and provides a good role model for people today. In the beginning, the status quo, Luke is just a normal boy tending to his uncle's farm. One day he receives a message from a young lady stating that she needs help his call to adventure. Soon after receiving the message Luke leaves his home to attempt to go save her, his departure. Shortly after getting inside the ship the girl was held, Luke is in a intense gun fight with the storm troopers, the trials stage. While trying to save the girl, Luke's master is k**ed, the approach. After he has witness his master get slaughtered, Luke becomes depressed, the crisis stage. Shortly after saving Princess Leia, Luke destroys the d**h Star, the treasure. After destroying it the only thing left is Darth Vader's ship spinning in to space, the result. After defeating Vader and becoming a hero, Luke rejoins his family, the rebel alliance. In the end Luke becomes a man, R2 is fixed, and he receives a medal. The Amazing Spider-Man is also a great example of the Epic Hero Monomyth. In the beginning he's just a boy in high school living with his aunt and uncle, the status quo. The Green Goblin is going around New York causing terror and Spidey feels that he should stop him, call to adventure. Anyways, Spider-man completes all stages of the monomyth. Therefore, he is an perfect example. I personally believe that Spider-Man is the best role model today. I believe this because many kids look up to him, and he does not get paid to help people.
