ORIGIN
The Free Syrian Army is considered the main opposition army group in Syria. It is composed of defected Syrian Armed Forces. These defectors mainly refused to follow the orders given to them by their senior officers to quench the so-called Revolution, no matter how many innocent civilians have to pay for it with their life. This Revolution has started as a result of the uprising in Deraa, where a group of children have been abused, tortured and forbidden of having a fair trial for the simple reason of writing some remarks against the Regime of President Bashar Al-Assad and calling for some freedom.
Unfortunately and because of a sequence of unwise decisions made by those in charge of the Al-Assad Regime, the situation has aggravated so fast that in matters of days almost all inhabitants of cities like Homs, Hama, Daraa and Dear Alzoor have demonstrated to announce the decline of the Syrian Regime. Of course, the Regime has to react, as usual, with all the power that it possesses no matter what the cost is, or no matter how many innocent and civilian lives will be taken in the process. Hence, the Regime starts k**ing the civilians in order to put an end to the demonstrations; for fear that the situation will rapidly escalate if the Regime does put everything under control. Here, the Syrian civilians stand bare hands against the might of the Syrian Regular Army Forces and the k**ing increases day after day. This has naturally lead to the emergence of the Free Syrian Army, which arises to protect the week and unable civilians, whose only mistake is that they have said no to dictatorship, no to the Regime and no to Al-Assad rule of blood over Syria. The Free Syrian Army, therefore, makes defending and giving shelter to civilian and stopping the k**ing and bloodshed his one and only objective.
BIRTH AND SUPPORT OF FREE SYRIAN ARMY
The military opposition movement against Al-Assad Regime has started at the hands of Lt. Colonel Hussein Harmoush who officially declared the initiation of the so-called "Free Officers`Movement" (after its Egyptain counterpart movement in 1952). Another very imprtant military opposition group headed by Colonel Reyad Mousa Al-As'ad came to life on July the 29th 2011. On the 23rd of September 2011, these two groups joined forces and the Free Syrian Army (FSA) came to life. Since then, defected soldiers as well officers join the FSA every day. Unfortunately, the FSA still suffers from lack of resources in the absence of international support. Until now, neither technical, nor material help, or any other official help is offerd to the FSA. It receives however some individual support from those who believe in the Syrian Cause of Freedeom and its legitimacy.
THE FREE SYRIAN ARMY DEFINES HIMSELF
The Free Syrian Army has never been or is any part of a militia or any other military forces that once battled or rose against the Al-Assad Regime for the sake of any gain, be it material or otherwise. We are but part of the Regular Syrian Military Forces who found it impossible to stay silent, where the Regular Military Armed Forces have neglected the oath they have made to protect and defend Syria and the Syrian people, and instead started to do Syria and the Syrian people a lot of harm. by aiding the Regime in k**ing its own people. Therefore, we, the Free Syrian Army, have sworn to take responsibility in defending Syria and the Syrian people from any harm. We declare that we do not have any hidden or political Agendas, and that we are under no circumstances liable, controlled, and headed or representing any ethnic, sectarian, or religious power groups. We are just defected soldiers and officers of the Regular Syrian Armed Forces who have gathered to defend and liberate Syria and the Syrians from the tyranny of the Regime, so that the k**ing of innocents and bloodshed will stop. We also declare that it will be our job to gather, control and regulate the manner in which any weapons is or are acquired, sold, bought, possessed and used now and in the future freed Syria. We also declare hereby that we will go back and resume our natural life, be it at home or in the military, once the armed conflict, caused by Al-Assad Military Forces and Militia, is resolved.
