[Intro]
Yup...
I'm just a homeless person on the streets
Yeah
Ever since Dale Oaks, I lost my home
I just roam around the streets
With my clothes, my bag, my belongings
All that stuff
[Verse 1]
Don't mind me, I just live on the streets
Even though I lost a leg, I never miss a beat
I got bipolar so I'm always freaking out
Lack social sk**s so I don't know what I speak and shout
I got the last check just approximately last month
And I spent it on food and clothes that got burned up
I tried very hard to get one single job
But everybody saw me as just a pathetic slob
The government don't want me no more
I have to beg for money because I'm poor
But everybody tells me to stop being a bum
So they give me nothing and that ain't no fun
What do you expect, for me to collapse
Become a corpse which people will just pa**
Because I'm homeless "and" disabled
Sometimes I wish I could just turn the tables
[Chorus]
I'm just homeless; and disabled
A person of society, who has failed
Not because of me, but because of society
That benefits the rich, and fancy
I'm just homeless; and disabled
A person of society, who has failed
Not because of me, but because of society
That benefits the rich, and fancy
[Verse 2]
I know of all the government programs that exist
But when I try to get help, the policies always persist
They put in me in a waiting list that last for tons of years
And when the time comes, they tell me I have no place here
They don't give me the sk**s that I need to survive
They don't give me anything I need to provide
No cash, no housing, no job of any sort
Not even an opportunity for me to retort
The news reports said that there's a lot of homeless problems
But nobody really does anything to solve all of them
The answer is simple, it's right in your face
But you don't notice it because you've got cash to forsake
The government claims to be in the best interest of the people
Well how can they be when their policies are medieval
Equal opportunity are two words that don't matter
Because they don't serve you opportunities on a platter
[Chorus]
I'm just homeless; and disabled
A person of society, who has failed
Not because of me, but because of society
That benefits the rich, and fancy
I'm just homeless; and disabled
A person of society, who has failed
Not because of me, but because of society
That benefits the rich, and fancy
[Verse 3]
Lot of people struggling to keep their houses
That's the reason why we invented couches
So we can sit down, relax and watch TV
But what happens when you don't have anything
When you don't have no house, nobody by your side
Don't have no respect, people pa** you by
You become invisible like my home girl Flora
And with no income you keep on getting poorer
Eventually you'll end up like African kids
Skinny, weak, defenseless and with skids
Don't ignore the National Geographic
Because they take focal issues like this and map it
I tell my story so you don't go through this
So don't live your life expecting to be forever rich
Homeless and Disabled is what you'll be
If you don't have modest expectations and dreams
