[Intro]
Hey y'all
Come close and listen up
Cause I got a story to tell!
But it's not just a story
It's the story, it's my story, it's history in the making
So just take a seat and listen close
[Verse 1]
Meet the most American city you done ever seen
The epicenter for all hopes and dreams
It has everything you need for you to survive
And the rent is low enough for you to provide
It's Dale Oaks; located in the most American state
We do everything we can to make America look great
From our country concerts to our rock and roll...
And everybody's happy everywhere that you go
But on July 4th, the bombs exploded
Terrorists took over and the town eroded
Lots of people died, about 200 total
Everybody shedding a tear for the locals
They didn't even have a chance to fight back
The world watching needed to react
So they did with sadness, shedding tears
For the loss of a city highly regarded among peers
[Interlude 1]
But this was only the beginning
Of my pain, of my torment...
For the city of Dale Oaks...
The city that was alive
The city you could live in to provide
For your family, for everything to see
Around you, is important
This is where my sadness comes through so just listen
[Verse 2]
I got out of there in the nick of time
But all I can do is just watch and whine
As the media covers this act of terror
I'm immersed in my own pa**ionate fervor
Reminiscing good times at Wal-Mart
The McDonalds nearby always hit the spot
Every store was close by within walking distance
Talks about bombing the city, I don't want to hear this
All I want to hear is if my people are okay
If they'll make it out, ever survive another day
I don't care about the terrorists intentions
I care if the city has received gods blessin'
We've done everything to be in his good grace
And I'll be sad if he deems us a disgrace
We didn't work hard to build this city for nothin'
In fact, our unity makes it into somethin'
[Interlude 2]
Yeah I have questions too
About how the terrorists got through
About how the Americans who survived
And how the hostages who are still alive
Dale Oaks being taken hostage
Don't know what I'm going to do...
So I'm just going to speak my mind and hope that you listen...
[Verse 3]
I don't understand how this could of happened
An attack on the most american city on the map and
A bunch of terrorists just easily took over
And we didn't have any security to hold them over
But the more I think about it, the more I dive
And I really want my sanity to survive
So I try my best not to think about it
Because as an American I have to move on quick
Still I pray and remember because what can I do?
I can only hope that Dale Oaks can make it through
And that all the hostages inside will be released
So that the US of A can finally be in peace
I'll miss the city of prestine american traditions
That rustic charm that I always glisten...
In my heart; because I'll never forget
That's I'm a Dale Oaks citizen to the end
[Outro]
Pound sign, Pray for Dale Oaks
Pray for Dale Oaks!
Cause those people need to survive
Those people need to be alive
My name is John Doe
And I'm out
Peace to Dale Oaks!
