Previous to the Branch collaboration, Harp had been working as a singer/songwriter in Nashville, and those country music elements mixed with Branch's pop sensibilities to inform the Wreckers' rootsy, harmony-rich sound. The duo debuted in autumn 2004, performing "Good Kind" on the WB teen drama One Tree Hill. "Good Kind" then appeared on the show's official soundtrack -- issued in January 2005 -- as the Wreckers prepared to release their full-length debut.
