Mr. Bennett's kind of insults two of his daughters, by saying he may need to put in a good word for his daughter Lizzy. His wife refused to let him do so and told him he will do no such thing. She also says that Lizzy isn't as good-humored as Lydia or as beautiful as Jane, also daughters of Mr. Bennett and his wife.
