The moon pulls the tides high onto the sandy beach...
though there's more to see than a lifetime could behold,
we turn and walk into ourselves as if we'd seen it all before
The orchid blows her incense into the luna moth...
the night shadows fall dreamlike across my face and next I know
they'll make their way across my heart
The maple bends her branches and drops her summer keys...
where the shadows meet the moonbeams both light and darkness die
The cricket fiddles tunes across the lonesome night...
I watch another sunrise with you dreaming at my feet
I see another daybreak praying for my sleep
