[Verse 1]
My eyes open on a warm summer day
In a hotel suite next to the Atlantic beach
Outside I am greeted by a nice man
Praising the flowers planted on a traffic island
Direct my steps to the basketball court
A couple surfers and locals playing four on four
I got next, my team is a chick that came over
From work during her break on a pink and white motorroller
Our center is a 6'9" tall stiff
Now it's us or a trio of tourists
We take the game 13 to 11
I proceed down to the beach to get some rest then
Guess who pops up? The working woman again
Now we playin' beach tennis with four of her friends
I get back to the hotel in the eve
Memories of a trip to Tenerife...
These are my Maritime Dreams...
[Verse 2]
It's the February carnival
Goats get plunged in the water, I'm at the port to view
After that get some fish and papas arrugadas
Chattin' with the chicharreros till they bring the tapas
So at peace like I never was -
And never have been after that, I gotta go back, cause
Who knows, maybe one day I'll live there
In a small finca, playing in the Gold League
Watching CD in the stadium, with my kids, bruh
Hmm... yeah... that'd be life
Eating healthy, chillin' on the beach, me and my wife
Visitin' the Loro Parque, say hello to the sharks
What can I say man, I love this place
Nothing could compare, I ain't went in a decade
But still would know my way around there
Like it's my second home, I'd probably bring my friends along
But first things first, my Spanish is rusty
Money too short, but I'll get that, trust me
This is what "The Fuel" was about
I'm still in the queue, paying my dues, giving my shouts
I'm told, I'm the future, a prospect
A 7 year journey, I ain't seen the top yet
I guess all in due time...
I'm just patiently staying on the grind... tryin' to take it easy...
