It's not right that even though they are
grown up they cannot tell us
Anything about our tradition
And the only thing they say is, "If I told you..."
The never talk about Botohí or Etehó,
The things that belong to the Bubis.
They are the traditional ways
Used by our ancestors
Which we should at the very least not forget about.
They don't tell us about the bulá or the chakí
Which are rites and ways
of communicating with the past.
What a pity, in a while you'll be gone
and will take with you
The little that remains of the Bubi
because you didn't want to tell us,
and the Bubi culture, together with its tradition,
will end forever.
