Wings of the night sky,
Break your chains and ignite.
Though I don't know where you'll next fly,
I will wait; you'll return in a while.
As I look into the moonlit skies,
My eyes meet a blood-stained moon.
Vision blurring for a second,
That bright moon became two.
They looked like familiar, crimson red eyes,
Which reminded me of you.
"Wait... Why am I crying?"
I mentally demanded,
I was blind to reason.
When I felt that internal sting of pain,
It was then that I realized.
"Well, I'll be damned..."
I've tried to endure it,
But I guess this means that I've reached my limit.
Slash through the night sky,
Don't let anyone stop you;
They shall know your name.
Burn a rift through the skies,
Ignite it all with those flames.
Even I can tell; nothing can stop them,
The flames of hell.
I now reside in a dark corner,
Reacting to nothing at all.
I still seem to silently cry,
Having thought that this pain would go on forever.
I cannot really take action;
I'd agreed not to interfere.
Then again, I remembered those words of ensured return.
I then mentally slapped myself,
Because there was really no reason for tears!
"I'm sorry, I was such an imbecile."
I clearly didn't hear your words correctly..
Wings of the night sky,
Break your chains and ignite.
Though I don't know where you'll next fly,
I will wait; you'll return in a while.
Months later, I stand before the sea.
I look into the skies;
And that was the moment.
What is that I see..?
Crimson eyes... Were you here the whole time..?
I was so blind,
What was wrong with me?
Wings of the night sky,
Break your chains and ignite.
Though I don't know where you'll next fly,
I will wait; you'll return in a while.
Wings of the night sky,
You have returned.
I embrace the night sky,
And I no longer feel the internal burning.
"I see.. I suppose once could call me attached.."
It's obvious, as I've subconsciously latched onto you.
Slash through the night sky,
Don't let anyone stop you;
They shall know your name.
Burn a rift through the skies,
Ignite it all with those flames.
Even I can tell; nothing can stop them,
The flames of hell.
