If we could dwell on seeking Truth
Truth poised as simple and plain
Though obscured by glitter of wealth and power,
Overshadowed by goals mundane.
If we could love our fellow man
Expunge hate from our souls
We'd emerge from a fractured human shel
l To a being that is whole.
If we could pray for our enemies,
Hate the sin and not the sinner
The Truth we'd find, and then would be
In the eyes of God, a winner.
The search for Truth grows treacherous
If alone in quest we stay
Think how much easier t'would be if we
Ask God to lead the way.
