I left my home about two years ago, in the year of the Lord 1832
We arrived to Buenos Aires, all of us really hungry and tired
while the morning sun was cuddling the boat.
I turned my face and I could smell from there
the wet floor by the rain of my land.
So goodbye my Anduriña, will I see you back again?
And those fields from Galicia, will I walk through them again?
I told my mum I loved her but I really had to go.
Oh, in misty days I remember you.
All of us came into this country where the streets were paved with gold
But things don't seem to work like that...
Anyhow I carved my way with your memories and my hands
And with the faith in a brighter day to come
And now I realise that as long there will be seas,
brave men will sail on them looking for glory.
So goodbye my Anduriña, will I see you back again?
And those fields from Galicia, will I walk through them again?
I told my mum I loved her but I really had to go.
Oh, in misty days I remember you.
