I recall the days of fun and warm good feelings
I recall the days of faith that I'm still keeping
I feel like a soldier going to the front
The war is not over there's things to be done
Wherever you are, I know for sure
You made your mark in this world
The path that we walk is not an easy one
Sometimes it's lonely like a shot in the sky
Now that you're dead I'm a ghost ship
keeping your memory deep inside of me
Some images just come back to me
of us walking the city streets.
People will always be born and die,
what matters is what's done in between.
With grief in my heart I make a toast
A great man we loved is forever gone.
Wherever you are, my fellow,
You made your mark in this world
It's always sad when a young life is taken
A father should never bury his son
You set an example for those who knew you
You're always present, your spirit lives on
Pain strikes in the middle of the night
it burns like an arrow on fire
That's the same fire that holds your name
You were bound for glory in this life.
With grief in my heart I make a toast
A great man we loved is forever gone.
Wherever you are, my fellow,
You made your mark in this world
