Intro The #1 thing holding back Screen Genius from being as big as it can be is how difficult its transcription process is. The pages are long, the formatting is tedious, and even if you're lucky enough to find the script online, you can't just copy + paste like you can with song lyrics. In short, creating new content for Screen Genius requires a lot of time and effort. The point of the Screen Scribes project is to reward that time and effort.
In the same vein as Scribe-a-thon (you know, that contest that got users almost 10K IQ just for transcribing) this reward will primarily come in the form of IQ. The main differences are that 1) this isn't a contest; everyone who contributes is a winner and 2) the Glorious IQ bonus will be way bigger to adjust for how difficult Screen transcription is. How much IQ? New/Meme TV scripts: +300 IQ (minimum)
Existing TV scripts +100 IQ (minimum)
Existing movie screenplays +100 (minimum)
3 movie scenes +50 (minimum)
A different Screen project: Contact Heisenferg; we'll work something out Transcription Standards Click here for a full rundown on Screen Genius transcription standards. I'm willing to be more lax, though, for the sake of new content. All you need to do is write each character's name in capital letters when they speak, make sure you fit as much text as possible into each line, and somehow indicate stage directions or changes in scenery to get the glorious IQ. I'll take it from there. Priorities - April 2015
