Today, we are taught to blame our parents, siblings, peers, teachers, public figures and government - but seldom do we blame ourselves.I suppose It's never our fault. But it's always their fault. What foolishness is this? Conscious change is a result of engagement. It is our choice as individuals to change our mindset and thus by perceiving the world differently, creating change through performativity. If a country is to be corruption free and become a nation of beautiful minds, I strongly feel we must celebrate the self and evermore so respect and stand for our elders, parents, and teachers.
I am here, a son, born in Congo, raised in Canada - by a father and mother who've selflessly sacrificed their own desires, aspirations and goals to proudly create mine.
