At one point you were praised, but we drove you to your grave. You hung there on a cross, I was bought at cost by the blood you lost. So I remind myself what you have done, and the thought grips my heart that this war has been one. All pain, all hurt, all hate has to bow before your name. And for the souls that doubted you-they will be ashamed. When they see your face and bow before your knees-this is the reality of the gospel that we preach. Who is a God like you to forgive me of all my sin? Replace my hateful heart and renew my heritage. Oh Lord, I lift my soul-oh my God I trust in you. Let me not be ashamed, but let your love reign true. My God lives. You rose again up from the grave, and from that moment my eternity was paid. Now I know the truth and I see the light. I will fight this war broken and contrite. I will shed my blood, I will shed my tears. All praise to Christ Jesus-He's the only one I fear. I will buffet my body, I will make it my slave. I will crucify my flesh until I see my grave. I will walk by no man's pattern on this earth. I stand here before you God, I embrace my rebirth.
