That's our house that stands so tall
And looking out over all
Of it's the attic;
And we have a cellar too;
Say, you know they're something like each other.
They both have a red brick chimney
Running through
And both are dark as dark can be
And we set mouse traps in them
(Cause of course the mice can't see
And so they run right in 'em)
In the attic there's lots of junk
And in the cellar there's more
And both have a musty mystery smell
That you get when the door
Or either one is open.
Why, I'll bet if you closed your eyes
And stood on your head
And walked upstairs
You'd be just real surprised
To find that you'd reached the attic
Or would it be the cellar?
I don't know which 'twould be
Cause if you were upside down
And walking up you'd still go down
Tho' you thought you were going up.
Well, I don't know just where you'd end
In the attic or in the cellar
But either one is lots of fun
So it really wouldn't matter.
