…and the murder was committed
In that stormy unlit night
Bloodstains exposed the culprits
Who were guilty of this plight
The waters of great Neptune
To rinse the blood wouldn’t suffice
Yet it would be cleared by little
To the accord of the devil’s wife
The dead are just still paintings
Only a child would fear the dead
So she smeared the drunken guardians
From the wound where the King bled
A red-stained dawn brought horror
After the night’s unruly storm
The Devil’s Gate was knocking
In this morning so forlorn
A hideous trumpet sounded
And upon the Lords did call
All witnessed this foul treason
That upon them did befall
The snake appeared as the flower
And once more his evil hid
Looked upon the scene in anguish
As the others plainly did
The Prince admits to murder
The guardians just outside
As their deed was unforgivable
And his reason set aside
Yet one Thane gazed at his host
With suspicion and disbelief
There was more to this whole tragedy
Than their host let them to believe…
