My crazy thoughts have the knack
Of racing on so fast,
I crave to hold them tightly
As they often leave me quite aghast.
They defy all logic when they go
Drifting through the air
Way beyond reality
Without an earthly care.
They seem to get much pleasure
As they torment me every day,
Always at the ready
To interrupt and have their say.
If I`m writing, they run wild
Then there`s nothing I can do
But relax and take a back seat
While they voice their point of view.
Oh crazy thoughts remove yourselves
Don`t settle here with me,
Ride a bike, take a hike
Until much calmer you can be.
In desperation I tried to tame them
But they got the upper hand,
They wrote most of this poem
I can only pray you`ll understand.
