Where can I store a nightmare
So it won`t return? ,
I`d be pleased to see it shredded
But prefer that it should burn.
A demon stamped across my sleep
Then held me in his grasp,
No thought or care for the fact
I was heaving out a gasp.
I awoke startled
Rigid in my bed,
Far too scared to sit up
As I nursed my thumping head.
I`d sue him for violation
If I could get handcuffs on his wrist
But I bet that demon would escape
And leave my eyes still full of mist.
Now, I`m looking for a new dream pattern
Maybe with a tiny baby fairy
I don`t really mind if she`s big and bold
She could even be a little hairy.
I`d settle for a scarecrow
At least it would stay still
Then I could get some sleep at night
Without waking feeling ill.
