You smiled and held me close
As you told me not to sigh,
All would soon look better
You begged me not to cry.
So many problems I`d gathered
Through that long long day,
Wishing each one I could pack up
And then send far away,
But each time I turned round
Another one I found,
On and on it went
Until I jumped at every sound.
Then the room was filled with music
We had never heard before
I sank into a chair
Silently waiting there for more,
My stress and worries
Seemed to float away into the air,
By the end of that tune
I believed they were not there.
Your soft gentle eyes
Were looking straight at me,
I`m sure it was just happiness
That had set me free.
