Topic 4, The Nervous System
[Intro: Demae]
Rain drops falling down
(No worries at all)
Police roaming over ground
(No worries at all, No worries at all)
Grieving my first feelings mother[?]
Living in the concrete jungle
I ain't got no
I ain't go no
(No worries at all)
No worries
[Narrator]
Living in a concrete jungle, this is the backdrop to our story today
Our protagonist Marvin battling his conscience under constant pressure from the bredrens
[Verse 1: Eman]
Uh, Another average day has shown his face
He folds his sheets and focuses on why his arm and shoulder scraped
Than he remembers last night was full of violent scenes
You hear those sirens scream but he's used to seeing those lights and beams
Him and his friends invited beef, acting like childish teens and got into a fight with five other dudes, usual divided team
The hyper scenes is another routine outside on streets
Getting faded, so abrasive, pay no mind to priests
It's a revolving cycle, always be involved in psychos
Knives, revolvers, rifles, aimed at opposing rivals
Some guys are armed they ride around in cars when night falls
I know you get the drift
Some dudes rolling around with that gear to make you shift
And these altercations are just another part of the rift
Marvin would rather chill
[Narrator]
Let's see how this week turns out, day 1
[Chorus]
Yo, And now begins the nervous system
He didn't want to get involved but his friends were to persistent
Palms sweaty, feeling anxious, you can see the symptoms
Now he's sittin' twitchin' with the smiffin' that's the nervous system
And now begins the nervous system
His friends are rowdy, now he's trying to make a quick decision
It's crazy how one trace could wipe away a man's existence
Someone call a**istance, it's another victim of that nervous system
[Verse 2: Sam]
Another average day has shown his face
And sure enough, he's still showing up to go and back his mates
His mother often would address the problem
And said, 'The bed you made is where you lay, just don't make it a casket case'
Where they incarcerate castaways for their disorder
And when it's lights out you realize your minds the darker place
You need to calm down for common sake, I know you keep your business on the low, ironically that keeps me half awake
So after the important lesson
Got hold of his phone, five missed calls and a recorded message
It was his closest bredren and by his tone he could tell that something was wrong
Marvin had always sense it
Started off by saying that 'so and so' they fought a couple day ago
He's got an older brother going round the town and asking questions like the town's detective
He's after you and half the crew, I say you get a weapon cause we going out like martyrs do
Marvin
[Chorus]
[Verse 3: Sam]
Another average day has shown his face
Wait*
He's focused while he's toking bad omens are on display
Placed in predicaments feels that pressure grow on his shoulder blades
Blowing that smoke and hoping that all these boulders will roll away
Close to the edge
[Verse 3: Eman]
Now he knows he wishes to alternate, total weight of these burdens is burning reactions so delayed
But he should've seen this day coming like slow decay
Cultivate bad habits they gradually tend to grow with age
Hoping that he don't go astray
Straighten his life he wishes he could, but he don't show his face his friends will call him a coward
He's a young man, now sitting, holding that trigger, getting devoured by that peer pressure
There's four dudes and they aiming for a target
They heard he lived on this road and they came through bargin'
No time for bargains
He raises his hand
Then takes a breath
