- I read an article on exrx.net about weight training and gaining more muscle ma**. We should keep on changing our exercises and our diet, because once you start doing an exercise your body will get use to it and it will get easier for it. And that is not good for you if you really want to get some muscles. Your body needs some challenges. You should always work equally on your muscles and keep adding on auxiliary exercises.

- The UFC: fastest growing sports in the world, the Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC), started in 1993 as a professional mixed martial arts(MMA) organization. It dates back to the Olympic Games in Athens. About 80 years ago, a Brazilian form of MMA known as Vale Tudo sparked local interest in the sport. Today, the UFC has evolved into an organization where hybrid athletes are required to know various disciplines in order to compete at an elite level in a regulated environment where safety is paramount. The UFC athletes are sk**ed in many forms of martial arts, including karate, jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, grappling, wrestling, sumo and other combat sports. It is the longest-running sports reality show on television with tens of millions of fans.

- I read about Jack Brooks. He was born on December 22, 1922, Crowley, LA and died on December 4, 2012, Beaumont, TX. He was an American politician of the Democratic Party and from the U.S. state of Texas, who served for forty-two years in the U.S. House of Representatives. He broke with fellow Southerners to support civil rights and fought government waste for four decades.

- Rick Majerus. The long time coach, who died Dec. 1 at 64, won 517 division 1 men's games, had only one losing season in 25 years at four schools and took the university of Utah to the national-championship game in 1998. But it was his eccentricities and excesses that made Majerus indelible. Majerus' unrestrained lifestyle, combined with a faulty heart, contributed to an untimely d**h. But his personality made him not just memorable but also loved.

- David Warren "Dave" Brubeck, 91, was born Dec. 6, 1920 Concord, CA and died Dec. 5,2012 Norwalk, CT. Dave was an American jazz pianist and composer, considered to be one of the foremost exponents of cool jazz. He wrote a number of jazz standards, including "In Your Own Sweet Way" and "The Duke". And also recorded the cla**ic album Time Out with his quartet.
