It's getting late and the sunis going down
All the trees are strung with glory
God's lamps are lit, on the other side of town
But then, that's another story
Looking out the window, counting all the stars
Just waiting for one to fall
Measuring the distance, between the now and then
Past the point of no recall
I'm building dreamboats, in a garage full of clouds
Painting signs upon the sails
Chasing rainbows in a garage full of clouds
Gone with the swifts and swallowtails
Golden dawn is breaking over yonder hill
And the mist begins to rise
Across the fields, the leaves are shaking
And the light shines in her eyes
You know it's not so easy, it's not so hard
It's not as crazy as it seems
It's like a roundabout, it keeps coming round
Like a movie on a screen
I'm building dreamboats, in a garage full of clouds
Painting signs upon the sails
Chasing rainbows in a garage full of clouds
Hung like Jesus on my nails
