I'm reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." After she drank the potion, Hermione turned into a cat. She realized that it she put cat hair into the potion instead of the girl's hair. The potion isn't meant for the use of duplicating into animals, so she was taken to the hospital wing. She stayed there for the rest of the break and sometime after.

Moaning Myrtle was found flooding the girls' bathroom with tears again, so Harry and Ron decided to go see her. Whenever she cries, she floods the bathroom. When they asked why she was upset, she cried that someone decided to throw a book at her, thus it flew right through her body. Harry decided to pick up the book, but Ron warned him that opening a mysterious book can be dangerous. It can lead to a cursed life or physical pain.

I'm still reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." Harry took the book and decided to read it. It turned about to be a diary from Tom Riddle. When he opened the book, it was blank. They all figured it must have been written in invisible ink so they tried spells for the words to appear. Unfortunately it didn't work.

I'm still reading "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets." Something happened with the diary; it was writing to Harry. Harry was shocked, so he wrote back. He asked about the Chamber of Secrets in hopes of finally avoiding abstruse answers, and the diary offered to show him what happened. Right after, Harry found himself in the Headmaster's office, but it wasn't Dumbledore's. He realized that no one could see/hear him because he was like a phantom in Tom Riddle's flashback.
