Beat My Brain
I have to beat my brain
To keep you satisfied
I have to cut the chains
And let out what's inside
I have to beat up on my brain to get my tongue untied
And my distinguished peers
Never know what I mean
I think that it appears
Easier than it seems
And they whine and b**h
About their little aches and pains
I'll sympathize after they beat their brains
When the well is dry
I get so damned annoyed
That I do things that I
Most often will avoid
Because I beat my brain to keep from being unemployed
I know one thing for sure
I don't care what you say
There is not simple cure
For when I feel this way
It's the one thing in my life
To which I claim to cling
I beat my brain to become interesting
I have to beat my brain
I have to beat my brain
I don't care what you say
I have to beat my brain
I've blatant disrespect for sensible retrain
(From time to time, I tend to ruin a rhyme)
And I'm sick and tired of always trying to explain
Words only when I beat my brain
