[Coal Cash]
Remember waking in the streets with a headful of gla**
I took one look at my leg and I could tell it was smashed
I asked my self why the hell did I survive
Still remembered your face, the pain inside your eye
Sky was full of rain but I could tell you was crying
And how could I explain that I was aiming for dying
Trying to take my life I got as low as the fender
Right in them headlights, the last sight I remember
I remember the hospital, I was regretting the deed
I made the nurse call you up, thought I'd forget how to breathe
Needed someone to talk to so you brought in a deacon
And in that time of darkness he shined like a beacon
Speaking the word of life also sharing his pain
All along remaining calm and I wanted the same
He said that chains could be broken if I open my heart
That's when I let the Lord in and I broke through the dark..praise God
"You're gonna be the one that saves me.."
[Raze]
I kept walking my own way regardless of what I heard
But God had a plan for me and soon I would learn
I remember the day I went to my boys house to drink and burn
Sitting on the couch in clouds of smoke then it hit me
I got up real quickly, told my friend I felt dizzy
My eyes turned blurry, almost fell to the ground
My boy sat me down, my eyes rolled to the back of my head
I stopped breathing, so I got slapped by my friend
Came back to consciousness but didn't know what to think
My boy picked me up fast and held me to the sink
He turned on the water and kept pouring on my head
I looked in the mirror, God revealed I was spiritually dead
So I said to God that I was done ruling my life
He changed my heart, since that night I've been living for Christ
It's so amazing when his power hits, one thing I'll never forget
It's the end of July, 2006
"You're gonna be the one that saves me.."

See I was saved the moment I saw the cross
I still remember that day, I still hold them thoughts
Away from New York, felt lost and out of my zone
My tone wasn't my own, I was forced all alone
My home was his temple but I had to find my place
Searching for his face but I had to find my faith
Didn't want to question God but it was hard for my sake
My soul's hard and a heart code that couldn't break
Shake my shells off, still searching for signs
I was thirstin for God, but couldn't see the works of His heart
My eyes was blinded, I was searching too hard
Looking in the skies as if God would be in disguise
Until I realized my eyes been closed all along
I opened them up, on this song I'm pouring the cross
To my utter belief, what do you think I saw
Tears in my eyes, the Lord on the cross and my face of the floor
