I honestly was thinking
Of just one thing when I left
So I headed toward my destination
I never even checked
But as I look back down the corridor
My dumb trilemma finally occurs:
That I am standing in the bathroom
And I don't remember which doorway is hers
One roommate's not so friendly
And mostly likely not awake
And the other one I wouldn't mind much
Making that mistake
But it's probably not the time or place
And I'm pretty sure my little host concurs
So I am stuck here in the bathroom
Until I remember which doorway is hers
I guess I should know better
And I guess this fix is real
In this hall that I call Monty
In this sad Let's Make A Deal
What am I doing here?
Oh, what am I doing here?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Somewhere in this apartment
In a bed that's not my own
A near-stranger lets my name go
In a low and sultry moan
And my engine is idling
While in her room her motor sweetly purrs
But that's all useless in the bathroom
If I can't remember which doorway is hers
So I am stuck here in the bathroom
'Cause I don't remember which doorway
I'm standing in the bathroom
And I can't remember which doorway
I'm useless in the bathroom
'Cause I don't know which is hers
