Aceneaux - Intrapersonal Thoughts lyrics

[Chorus] I act more than I think I think more than I act I notice violence around me I just wish it would pa** Living life full of fear From the constant cruelty Holding on to my sanity Life is losing it's beauty Is this what it's become? Take out the minority one by one? Or is there more to the story To the matters you took which you felt were deserving? Will you ever accept us? Or will you keep your distrust? A nation falling apart These are my intrapersonal thoughts [Verse 1] Speaking from inside of me Life through my eyes is a hard truth to believe One of many awaiting for change One of many yet not doing anything In my room writing lyrics Fantasizing on one day making it But if I don't succeed I could still be heard on the underground scene L.O.A.L. is grinding to make an impact Those of you who think otherwise could simply go get back To that musical non-sense you try to believe is rap While we're doing whatever we have to be where it's at In a better surrounding, living more well-off Still advancing while others came around then fell-off Expressing what we have to say through the sounds of our art To stand out, but to the point I'm here to get across I fear life as an African American I fear being criticized for the way I am I'm not a gangster, a k**er, or a thug I'm just another brother who dreams to be heard Not just as a rapper, but also as a citizen Of this great nation I have the honor of living in But, I suppose us and others will never be accepted Because of our racial status making us different [Chorus] I act more than I think I think more than I act I notice violence around me I just wish it would pa** Living life full of fear From the constant cruelty Holding on to my sanity Life is losing it's beauty Is this what it's become? Take out the minority one by one? Or is there more to the story To the matters you took which you felt were deserving? Will you ever accept us? Or will you keep your distrust? A nation falling apart These are my intrapersonal thoughts [Verse 2] Speaking from within myself I don't know if I could even ask for help From all the injustice everywhere lately I'm feeling like as if we're all separating And breaking off instead of being united We could make it seem like nothing, but that won't hide it That will keep everything that's been happening Still happening, and that's saddening All lives matter regardless of who you are We're diverse, but that shouldn't keep us apart We have our own special talents and abilities Which go as far as influencing our future dreams And what we want to be, our personalities Well, maybe not exactly that, but you see what I mean We're not like you, but that's because we were made differently And being different is not always a bad thing Some of us cause trouble, but that's not all of us Some act and speak a certain way, but hey guess what? No two individuals are exactly similar "Love others as you love yourself" does that sound familiar? If it doesn't, then I question if you have a heart And if you say you do then most likely it's very dark What I would recommend is finding some positive writings And reading them to see what I've been implying [Chorus] I act more than I think I think more than I act I notice violence around me I just wish it would pa** Living life full of fear From the constant cruelty Holding on to my sanity Life is losing it's beauty Is this what it's become? Take out the minority one by one? Or is there more to the story To the matters you took which you felt were deserving? Will you ever accept us? Or will you keep your distrust? A nation falling apart These are my intrapersonal thoughts
