The Jodeci meets New Edition meets Southern crunk group 4Mula1 hail from California and started like so many other successful R&B vocal groups, in the church choir. Stevie Wonder, Commissioned, Creed, and Beenie Man were just some of the diverse influences members Chaos, E-Maze, AJ, and G1000 were listening to when they formed 4Mula1 (4 Men United in L.A.) in high school. It took only one showcase to convince SoBe Entertainment that 4Mula1 had the right sound and the right moves to make it big. The Miami-based record label signed them and in October of 2004 released their debut, Let's Get It, with the Mario Winans-written and -produced single "Gotta Roll" leading the way. ~ David Jeffries, All Music Guide
